Work & ventures

A perspective
built through doing.

Founding companies. Supporting founders. Teaching emerging builders. Exploring what new technology makes possible.

Today / Phygtl

Building
Lana.

A contextual concierge for the people, knowledge, and opportunities within communities.

As founder of Phygtl, I’m building Lana around a human question: how do we find the people and possibilities that are relevant to us, and do something with them?

The student experience is currently in closed beta / MVP. Earlier work on Vyry belongs to the preceding product chapter.

Company building & investing

From an idea
to a venture.

My entrepreneurial record includes two exits. Startup investing through Awesm Ventures is another chapter in that work: engaging with founders and the possibilities they see.

Those experiences inform how I think about emerging markets, business opportunity, and the choices that turn a promising idea into a company.

Teaching & emerging builders

Learning happens
through participation.

I’m a former entrepreneurship faculty member at UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology.

In 2023, a SCET product design challenge brought students into the work of developing ideas for an AI app. That is an earlier example of a continuing interest: giving people a role in shaping what gets built.
